A Mobile Suit that inherits the concept of "ZGMF-X56S/θ DESTINY IMPULSE", which is developed by ZAFT as the test prototype for the united weapon system. 

       DESTINY IMPULSE's development was known to be stopped due to the development of "X42S DESTINY", but the research has continued under the assistance of private enterprises.  The Mobile Suit avoided competition with DESTINY GUNDAM, and resulted in building a whole new concept.  One of it being the new developed Silhouette Module, "DESTINY R Silhouette", which is possible to operate independently by expanding the function of Silhouette Flier.  The body part used to combine with the main body became IMPULSE without the Core Splendor System.
